How clients review and approve
What your client sees, from the first link to the download, and why files stay locked until payment.
Your client never needs an account. Everything happens from the link in their email.
1. Review
They open the link and play the work in the browser. The preview is watermarked, so nothing usable leaves before payment.
2. Notes
While it plays, they mark what they want changed:
- Set in and Set out mark a stretch to cut, a noise to fix, or a moment to turn into a clip.
- Mark point marks a single moment.
When they are done they choose Send notes, which shows which round of notes it is. If they are happy as it is, they choose No changes needed.
3. Approve
To approve the final version they confirm their email, type their name as a signature, tick that they have watched the final version and accept the terms, then press and hold Hold to approve. Approval locks the edit.
4. Pay
If anything is owed they choose Pay and pay by card. The money goes straight to your Square account.
5. Download
As soon as the payment clears, Download and Download all unlock the full files.
Why files stay locked
Until the job is approved and paid, the client can watch the preview but cannot download the files. You never have to chase an invoice for work that has already left the building.
