Connecting Square
Link your own Square account so customers pay you directly when they book.
Customers pay you through your own payment account, so the money lands with you, not with Console. Connect it before you share your booking page.
Before you start
- You need a Square account in the studio's name. If you do not have one, create it at squareup.com first.
- Sign in to Cue as the workspace owner.
Connect
- Open Settings, then Payments, and find Card payments. (Or use the Payments step of the setup wizard.)
- Choose Connect Square.
- Sign in to Square and approve the access Cue asks for.
- Back in Cue, pick the Square location the payments belong to and choose Use this location.
Check it works
The wizard's last step offers Make a test booking. Use the code SETUP-TEST to make a free booking and see it arrive in Cue, exactly as a customer would.
Square or Stripe
Cue takes booking and membership payments through Square or Stripe, one at a time. Connect with Stripe sits next to Connect Square if you prefer it. Two things to know before you choose:
- Send invoices are paid through Square only, so if you will use Send, choose Square.
- You can switch between Square and Stripe yourself until your first real booking. After that, email hello@getconsole.app and we switch it for you.
Good to know
- Card details are handled by Square. Cue never sees or stores them.
- Square's own fees apply to each payment. Console takes nothing from your bookings.
